Introduction
The following article explains how to configure a Desoutter CVIxII series tool controller so that it can be controlled by an Infinity Client station. It also covers the correct asset to use in your Pivotware process and the advanced settings available for working with the CVIxII.

Controller Configuration
The Desoutter CVIxII series controller is capable of being controlled by an integrating party however it is necessary to make some small changes to the configuration in order to define the correct way of working.
See below for which changes are required in a CVIxII controller in order to allow remote control by Infinity Client.

By default, CVIxII controller do not respond to Open Protocol control, as a result, it must be activated on the controller. To activate it:
Station parameters must be set to allow for remote control:
- With the controller turned on, push the "Esc" button
- Navigate to "PARAMETERS > STATION > STATION PARAM."
- Set "Cyc. Src" to Protocol
- Set "Tool En." to Protocol
- Set "Stop Sp.En=0" to FALSE
- Click "Valid"
- Ensure that the stations IP address is contactable by Infinity

Setting Up the Asset In Asset Manager, create a new asset
- Asset Type = Tool - Asset Vendor = Desoutter - Device Type = CVIxII

Feature Management
From version 7.0 onward, features within the Pivotware software are required to be activated individually. For more information about Feature management, see here
The Infinity Base feature is always required for the Infinity Client application to run. Any other listed features must be additionally activated in order to use the functionality described in this article:
