Introduction

This article serves to give information about localisation of the CVI3 Essential and CVI3 Function tool controllers including changing of user interface details, language and date-time information.

Display  

  • On the controller keypad, press the "Escape" button to enter the main menu. You should see "Control Mode" like here:
  • Use the up and down directional arrows navigate the main menu until you reach "Configuration".

  • Use the Enter key to enter this menu.


Device Name  

  • Once in the Configuration menu, use the up or downs arrow to navigate to the "Device Name" property.
  • Use the Enter key to open the parameter properties.


Torque Unit  

  • Once in the Configuration menu, use the up or downs arrow to navigate to the "Device Name" property.
  • Use the Enter key to open the parameter properties.


Speed Unit  

  • Once in the Configuration menu, use the up or downs arrow to navigate to the "Device Name" property.
  • Use the Enter key to open the parameter properties.


Device Sound  

Enabling/disabling this property will cause a beeping sound to be emitted each time a button is pressed on the controller.


Navigation: Configuration > Service > Beep

  • In the Service menu, use the up or downs arrow to navigate to the "Beep" property.
  • Use the Enter key to edit the property. Use the up or down arrows to enable/disable the "Beep" property.
  • Use the Enter key again to confirm the selection.


Language  

  • On the controller keypad, press the "Escape" button to enter the main menu. You should see "Control Mode" like here: 
  • Use the directional arrows and the enter key to navigate the main menu.


Navigation: Configuration > Service > Language

  • Once in the Configuration menu, use the up or downs arrow to navigate to the "Language" property.
  • Use the Enter key to edit the property. Use the directional arrows to select a language to use.
  • Use the Enter key again to confirm the selection.


The following languages are available as of CVI3 firmware version 2.1.4.2 :

Date & Time  

  • On the controller keypad, press the "Escape" button to enter the main menu. You should see "Control Mode" like here:
  • Use the directional arrows and the enter key to navigate the main menu.


Set Date & Time  

Editing this field will alter the date/time reported on and by the tool controller for tightenings done.


Navigation: Configuration > Service > Date

  • Once in the Configuration menu, use the up or down arrows to navigate to the "Date" property. 
  • Use the Enter key to edit the property. Use the directional arrows to edit the date/time as needed. Use the Enter key again to confirm the selection.
