Pivotware 8.5.2 has now been released

We are pleased to inform you that Pivotware V8.5.2 has now been released.


Notethis version forces an update to the process scheme. As a consequence, after opening a project with CVIFusion 8.5.2, said project will not be compatible anymore with early CVIFusion versions.

This version brings you the following major features:


New Group Style: Task Based operations

This new Group Style allow to execute its inner steps and groups as Free Ordered Tasks. All the first level items will be shown in a new Infinity HMI during execution, which allow to choose the Task to do:

Dynamic Jobs:

It is now possible to use Pivotware to drive Tool Assets using Dynamic Jobs



In this particular mode, Pivotware will show the Batch Count retrieved from the Controller alongside the status.

Using Dynamic Job allows:

  1. For an improved traceability in CVINet and DeMeter when using advanced options (Batch Management - Reverse Settings) during an Action Tool step.
  2. When activating the Batch Management feature, Pivotware will now be able to send the Batch Increment information to the controller.


Tightening device compatibility:
The feature is compatible with the following list of Tool Asset:
- Desoutter: CONNECT - CVI3 - DC Open protocol.
- Atlas Copco: DC Open Protocol.
- Other Open Protocol Device: DC Open Protocol.

For all devices configured via the DC Open Protocol option, regardless of brand, please ensure they are compatible with Open protocol MID 0140.

Note: specific configuration is required in CVIConfig for Desoutter Controller to work alongside Pivotware in AP Mode
1- To enable the AP mode: set the tool running mode to Assembly Process

2-To make full use of the Batch Management feature in AP Mode, select to Store batch increment results


This version also brings the following improvements:

  1. Variant Manager has now been improved.
  2. It is now possible to delete Projects stored in CoreService from the project selection list.
    This action cannot be undone, so please be sure to use it carefully.
  3. It is now possible to use in the Build Source section the following items:
    - Action TCP/IP
    - Logic File Function.
    It will also be possible, for those step, to extract the specific Data Element Number since they are an Array
