Introduction
This article serves to give information about localisation of the CVI3 Vision and TWINCVI3 tool controllers including changing of user interface details, language and date-time information.

Display
Click the Main Menu icon |
Navigate to "Configuration > Controller > User Interface > Display"
Device Name
- Customise the name of the of the CVI3 device using the "Description" parameter.
- Save any changes made by tapping the save button in the bottom right-hand corner
Torque Unit
- Customise the torque unit to be displayed on-screen by using the "Torque Unit" parameter.
- Save any changes made by tapping the save button in the bottom right-hand corner
Speed Unit
- Customise the speed unit to be displayed on-screen by using the "Speed Unit" parameter.
- Save any changes made by tapping the save button in the bottom right-hand corner
Device Sound
- Define whether the CVI3 controller should emit a beeping sound during screen usage by using the "Keypad beep enabled" checkbox.
- Save any changes made by tapping the save button in the bottom right-hand corner
Backlight
- Define whether the backlight for the CVI3 screen should automatically turn off after a set period of time by using the "Back light auto off" checkbox and defining a value in the "Back light time out" parameter. The default value for a CVI3 is to power off the screen after 2 minutes of inactivity.
- Save any changes made by tapping the save button in the bottom right-hand corner
Language
Click the Main Menu icon |
Navigate to "Configuration > Controller > User Interface > Language"

Save your selection by tapping the save button in the bottom right-hand corner

Date & Time
Click the Main Menu icon |
Navigate to "Configuration > Controller > User Interface > Date & Time"
Set Date & Time
- Update the date and time of the CVI3 by clicking on the date-time property directly. Use the menu that appears to define the date and time required.
- Save any changes made by tapping the save button in the bottom right-hand corner
Date-Time Format
- Define the date-time format used in your country or region by using the "Date Format" parameter.
- Save any changes made by tapping the save button in the bottom right-hand corner
Sync Source
- Define whether the date and time should be updated by a server/service connection instead of using the time manually set on the CVI3 by using the "Sync Source" parameter.
- Save any changes made by tapping the save button in the bottom right-hand corner
