The following guide is designed to give instructions on how save the logs, configurations and other components of all software within the Pivotware platform.

CVI Fusion
Configuration
Configuration files used in CVI fusion can be stored in numerous places depending on user architecture and preference.
For full about how to create, save and open Fusion project files please see here.
Logs
The default location for all log files for all versions of CVI Fusion is:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Desoutter\CVI Fusion\logs
Upon opening this directory the user will be presented with differing log files depending on the version of software.
- "fusion.log" or "CVIFusion.log" = The main log file collecting all activity occurring with CVI Fusion.
- "fusion.error.log" or "CVIFusion..error.log" = The main log file collecting any error activity that may occur with CVI Fusion.
These logs are archived each day that CVI Fusion is opened in order to save disk space. Archived log files are found at:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Desoutter\CVI Fusion\logs\archives
Infinity Client
Since 6.15, users of Infinity Client have the ability to save their logs, configuration and other components used within the process/device by using the "Save Logs" button available within the main menu of Infinity Client.

On clicking "Save Logs", a user is presented with a pop-up menu allowing them to save desired components of their device to the local disk or to removable media. By default, the 'Config' and 'Logs' are always automatically checked.
Users can define where to save their logs. The "Select Drive" field will shows all disk drives available to the host machine.
- Selecting the "Local" Drive will export a .zip folder to:
C:\Users\[CurrentUser]\Documents\InfinityClientLogs
After choosing the required drive, files and clicking "Save", the files and compressed into a .zip file. The user is notified on-screen once the operation is complete.
Infinity Module
Since 6.19, users of Infinity Module have the ability to save their logs, configuration and other components used within the device by using the "Save Logs" button available within the main menu of Infinity Module.

Core Services
Configuration
Configuration file for by the Desoutter Core Service is stored at the following address by default:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Desoutter\Core Windows Service\Upload
However, the easiest way to make a backup without interfering with the running service is to do the following:
- Open CVI Fusion
- Open "Services"
- Open "Core Services"
- Click "Deploy Locally"
Logs
